Of the six Plains states smack in the middle of the U.S., I’ve lived in four of them, heading further south with each move. I (mostly) grew up in western Nebraska but have lived in Texas for the past seven years. To me, Texas is like Nebraska on steroids.
Here’s some other ways I define myself, in no particular order:
- I still sing along to ONJ.
- On good days I call myself a writer.
- I think I was the last person left watching ER (besides my mom).
- I spent my formative years in a town of 600 people.
- I love Taco John’s (mmm…potato oles!).
- Lyle Lovett’s music helped me like Texas.
I’ve ravenously consumed blogs for a few years and don’t know if I’m ready to have my own, but here I am. For now.
